The Spur Line Art Trail was created by Lesley Russell as part of the Town of Canmore's Building Neighbourhoods Builds Community. Celebrating this iconic trails incredible mining and railway history, rich heritage, landscape and wildlife.
With free art kits and wooden plaques sliced from trees felled on the trail, being given out to over 150 members of our community and our wonderful neighbours in Morley, encouraging free expression to share what the Spur Line Trail means to them. With beautiful art plaques created by our incredible community members from professional artists, past railway and mine workers, to children, all coming together to create a magical art trail.
