Elizabeth Hill Divorce Mediation Attorney

Divorce mediation attorney, Elizabeth Hill, believes that compassion is critical and that belief guides both her private and professional life. As a mother of five children, three of whom were adopted from Russia through the World Links International Adoption Agency, families and children are close to her heart.

In her spare time, she enjoys her first love, horses. Elizabeth has been a lover of horses since she was a young child. She currently serves on the Board and volunteers at Changing Leads Equine Rescue, a not-for-profit corporation established to rescue abused and neglected horses and pair them with people for interactive healing. She is the Co-Founder of Mending Reins, a 501c3 establishment to provide equine-assisted and facilitated therapy for veterans, first responders, and others who have suffered a life trauma.

Elizabeth is the owner of Woodson Hill Equestrian Center in Parkville, Missouri. Her facility provides full-service horse boarding, lessons, training, and coaching to horse lovers of all ages.

Elizabeth is a member of Collaborative Practice Kansas City, which is a network of divorce attorneys, financial analysts, and mental health professionals committed to offering parties the guidance, support, and expertise to resolve all issues surrounding their divorce outside a courtroom. The members of the collaborative practice network have significant experience working with families utilizing the collaborative divorce model.

Office Manager and Paralegal, Patty L. (Shaver) Fredericks, has been in law for the last 25 years, and has worked with Elizabeth for a total of 8 years.  Her experience has allowed her to participate and lead discussions in Divorce Care classes.  She truly believes in promoting Mediation, Collaborative Mediation, and Collaborative Divorce as a worthy and cost-effective option for couples who find themselves in a situation where permanent dissolution of their marriage is inevitable.  She knows first-hand that these methods allow both parties to drive the outcome of their divorce in a positive, meaningful way, and also allows the parties to keep their children first in decision-making.  If needed, experts can be utilized including a Financial Neutral or Divorce Coach in all of these types of cases.

Patty is married to Ron Fredericks and is a very proud and devoted mother to 3 children, Colt, Kimber and Katie, daughter-in-law, Courtney, and one grandchild, Hadley Rose.  She absolutely loves decorating and has a knack for finding and utilizing local second-hand furniture and décor from the West Bottoms, Marketplace, garage sales, etc.  She loves Kansas City’s Arts scene, especially The Kauffman Center, Nelson Art Gallery, First Fridays, and many more.  She is also a total foodie and seeks out farm-to-table restaurants and unique experiences.  She and Ron enjoy family time and domestic/international travel.
