Come get muddy and delight in the freedom and feeling of clay in a playful setting. This tactile class is great for young artists and their parents or caregivers to learn and create together. Class fee is per child and includes clay and firing. Parents or caregivers are free. Aprons provided. Please bring a snack.

Don't miss out on the April Break Art Academy! Join us for daily workshops on Friday, April 19 & Monday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our young artists will start their days by exploring active movement through art inspired games and healthy exercise. From there, we will transition to the Clay Studio where we will build our own planters, use clay to create seed balls, and explore Outdoor Mandala Building and Painting. But that's just the start! After a lunch break & a unique look at the Art of Strategy, students will spend an afternoon of art exploration as we dabble in creative mask making, custom derby cars, and much more! This immersive experience for children ages 6-11 promises to be packed full of fun memories, learning, and artistic expression!

Each class there will be ONE demonstration (students are welcome to request), along with conversations committed to developing one's work. Students are welcome to come earlier and stay later than class time. All students receive open studio access during the course of the class and two weeks following the last day of class to finish work. Hours are listed regularly on the Studio Message Board. This class is perfect for potters who have graduated from Clay Happy Hands or Mindful Monday Mornings. Clay, glaze and firing included. Extra clay may be purchased through the Community Art Center.
