The Cathedral Music Ministry has a rich history of adding beauty to the Cathedral worship experience, performing the music of composers such as Theodore Bogdanos, Anna Gallos, Alexander Gretchaninov, Dimitrios Pappas, George Raptis, Nancy Takis, Tikey Zes, and many more, in addition to arrangements by the late Maestro Dr. Dino Anagnost, music director of the choir for many years. The renowned Cathedral Choir, formed by a core of music professionals and volunteers, is featured most Sundays at the Archdiocesan Cathedral.
The Cathedral Youth Choir was started by Maestro Tsourakis in September 2021 to teach the cathedral youth community about music and the hymns of the church. The CYC made its debut concert performance at the annual Cathedral Christmas Concert, "The Sounds of Christmas" in the presence of Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and Archbishop Demetrios, Former of America. Arranged by Dawn Helene, this four-part SATB version accompanies the traditional setting of the joyous hymn proclaiming the resurrection of our lord. Compiled and edited by Costas Tsourakis, this rendition is sung by participants from throughout the National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians. Along with superb execution of the liturgy every Sunday, the Cathedral choir also performs concerts throughout the year bringing the surrounding community to our parish as a witness to the beauty of Orthodox Christianity.
