About the Business
Don't be fooled by the name, Eggy's is more than just breakfast (though it does have an extensive egg-centric menu). Modeled after the homey diners of the '60s, the menu is full of items designed to give a home-cooked feel. Think pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers. But it has made national news for its crunchy French toast, which was featured on Travel Channel's "Food Paradise" as a can't-miss carby dish.

Hello Sarah, I apologize for the late response. The short answer is, "yes, we have Wi-Fi". The problem is it doesn't work very well and I have been working on it to get… more

Was wondering if you guys had a bottomless brunch special on the weekend?
A:
Hello Courtney! We do not offer a buffet. As a breakfast diner, we serve breakfast and lunch all day - plated items, ordered individually. I hope that helps.

"Diner" is the appropriate description here. The service was timely and coffee hot. The bustle of the mostly full room was comforting, and manageable (volume). We were seated quickly, offered our choice of beverage shortly thereafter and submitted our order within minutes. The food arrived within a reasonable period of time and service was consistent and attentive despite the full room.
Our food was fairly tasty but I've definitely had better corned beef hash before - probably won't order that again, but I'd definitely come back and try some off the other offerings.
I love the non-franchise, local and unique vibe -- high recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 20241 check-in
Food 3/5 - The grilled chicken Cobb was okay but I would recommend sticking to the breakfast items on the menu.
Ambiance/ Service 1/5 - We had a server named Elizabeth C. and it was just an overall unpleasant experience. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but she was pretty rude and standoffish. Insisted on giving us our bill right after we got our food. It wasn't even busy. We thought maybe a staffing change, nope, she was cutting up with other customers and still waiting tables for other people. Very odd interaction!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 11, 2023

The place is fairly small and was quite busy on a Saturday around 11, but we only had to wait approx. 15 minutes for a table for 2.
Im a sucker for anything with chorizo so I went with the Mexican skillet and it was excellent. Very tasty, the potatoes were really good and crispy. Eggs are eggs. The (sourdough) toast was pretty underwhelming and wasn't buttered.
Soda was flat.
Brunchmate had the standard eggs/bacon plate and added a pancake with blueberries that she said was good (blueberries IN and ON the pancake).
Parking is difficult on the weekends but a great place to walk to.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angie H.Saint Florian, AL01611Apr 10, 2024
The restaurant was clean and the staff attentive when we arrived. the tables were clean and set for guest. The menu was above average for a diner! The food came and was perfect 10. I had breakfast tacos my daughter had glazed banana waffle. Both items were fresh hot and delicious. My plate came with fried potatoes as well. (see photos). I used the restroom and it was outstandly clean. I told the server what a wonderfu restaurant they had. 100% recommend

It's fine. That is what we said about everything. Not bad, not great...fine. Which is fine I guess. Bloody Mary was fine. The pickles were nice and spicy. Maybe one of the only places to not include a chaser/snit in MN. French toast was fine. Eggs were fine. Potatoes were fine. Service was fine. Ambiance was fine. Parking is a bit of a pain. Likely won't return as there are so many other fantastic breakfast/brunch places.

I'm visiting from out of town, and I absolutely love the vibe of this place. Their home made salsa that comes with the Spanish Omelette is amazing. Highly recommended!

But y'all need to update the SSL certificate on your guest wireless network--it expired over 2 years ago! As a software engineer, when I see that basic things like this are not updated, it makes me wonder what else hasn't been updated, such as the credit card handling machines. Scary!

Before heading to the airport, I stopped by Eggy's Diner for breakfast. My usual choice for breakfast or brunch when available is chilequiles. However, when the chilequiles arrived, I couldn't help but think that the chef or the restaurant had never truly tasted authentic chilequiles. The dish appeared more like salsa on tortilla chips with over-easy eggs and crema on top, and it didn't resemble chilequiles at all. Because of that, I rate this place a three.

We were in town for a concert, and based on the reviews, this place seemed like a good choice. First impressions of the place, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Typical urban retro look. The hostess was not welcoming or friendly. Front of the house first impressions are important. She didn't even welcome us or smile.
The waitress was very nice and friendly, though. The coffee was good but a bit acidic. I don't know if it was Collectivo coffee, but I am assuming it was because of the signage on the wall. Overall, food was mediocre. Pancakes were flat. Chocolate chip pancakes didn't have the chips folded in the batter. Just melted on top. Biscuits and gravy side was okay. I never had it with green onions before. Green onions were overpowering. The sausage was way too sweet. It must have been maple and brown sugar.
Overall, it wasn't one of my favorite places food wise, plus it was pretty pricey. 3 pancake meals, 3 sides, and 2 drinks totaled around $67 without tip.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rayan Y.Richfield, MN02Apr 13, 2024
Love the service love the food. The design of the place was nice. The only issue was that the milkshake were not available.

Eggys was delicious and our service was impeccable, but there was a big issue.
The entire restaurant had no bread or bananas.
We were not notified prior to being seated, so we could have gone to our back up option.
Instead we ordered our coffees and then when the server was ready, we were told there was no bread or bananas.
Half our party was not content whatsoever, while the other half was okay, considering they didn't need bread or bananas.
For a total of 7 adults and 2 kids I paid about $160+
Would we go back, maybe half the party, but with more decent options around the corner, Eggys is probably a big pass.
Cheers to actual food that's stated on the menu Yelpers xxHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
