Gas Assistance Program
The Gas Assistance Program can help income eligible residential heating customers with their natural gas winter heating bills. Income eligible heating customers of Liberty Utilities and Unitil-Gas may be able to receive a 45% discount on heating bills during the winter, November through April.
The discount provided through this program helps make bills more affordable and helps customers avoid the risk of having their gas service shut off for non-payment. To be eligible for the program, customers must be residential heating customers of either Liberty Utilities or Unitil-Gas and receive, or be qualified to receive, benefits from one of the following programs:
- Fuel Assistance Program
- Electric Assistance Program
- Supplemental Security Income Program
- Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC)
- Elderly NH Commodity Surplus Foods Program (CSFP) (for age 60 and older)
- Financial Aid to Needy Families (FANF)
- Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8)
- Head Start Program
- Aid to Permanently and Totally Disabled (APTD)
- Aid to the Needy Blind
- Old Age Assistance
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
