Rose & Onyx is the home of 11 staff including Masters, Mentors, Apprentices and Barbers. We are proud of the talent we host at our salon and we encourage you to consider the specialized skills and unique styles of our team, to determine the best fit for you. We actively support our community and we are thankful for the incredible support that we receive from our clients and neighbours. Things have certainly changed in the last couple of years and we have learned to adapt to the changes and continue to grow. Our salon is open 7 days a week, by appointment via our online booking links or Apple/Android app. We are accepting new clients and continue to grow to serve your needs better. The Salon

With R&O we have created an open-concept floor plan so that the experience for the client and stylist is one of community, supported by teamwork. Each stylist has their own station, but at Rose and Onyx we have made those stations moveable. With the ability to change the work space we have opened up opportunity for more creative and innovative work. The salon is open, bright and inviting. We want to make your time with us feel great and of course, we want to send you home looking great too. With our vintage, hand-made and up-cycled appeal you will find a comforting and professional salon staffed with a dream team that gives you options.

Our team of accomplished Stylists and Masters have the experience and education to make sure that your service is done right. Take advantage of the knowledge and experience of these Masters and star Apprentices. The team has many unique certifications and techniques such as DevaCurl, precision cutting, men’s and women’s cut specialists, hair replacement, extensions and even advanced skin care services. Our team is also composed of finalists and winners of creative national and international contests, including Trendvision and Contessa.

Gender Free Pricing

We look at pricing a little differently. Gender free pricing means that we charge for our services based on the length of hair and not gender. Similarly, these prices break down to an hourly average for each stylist (based on experience). Either way you look at it, there is no need to determine price based on gender. The length that best describes you hair at the time of your appointment should be the service you book. This will ensure that your appointment blocks the appropriate amount of time to complete.
