Upper School Science Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding full time Upper School Chemistry and Physics teacher to join our team of faculty beginning in August of 2024.

Steamboat Mountain School’s science department exists to generate appreciation and curiosity for the natural world. SMS science students learn to observe, investigate, and reflect as a way to gain knowledge of the natural world. Science teachers focus on building fluency with inquiry based learning, scientific communication, intentional investigation, and proficiency in content based assessments.

K-2 Math & Science Teacher

Steamboat Mountain School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative full-time K-2 Math & Science Teacher teacher for the 24-25 school year. This teacher will report directly to the K-8 Director and will be responsible for planning and teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade science and math classes.. Candidates will have a professional educational background, deep understanding of their subject matter and content knowledge, expertise in early literacy, as well as a passion for
teaching and learning.

Operations Manager

Direct, manage, organize, supervise and perform building and grounds maintenance for SMS facilities and property including approximately 20 buildings and 150 acres.  Position oversees the SMS Maintenance department and team.  Assist in the planning and supervision of capital projects large and small for both campuses.  This department is responsible for the support of SMS Academic, Outdoor, Culinary and Residential Life programs by ensuring physical spaces and equipment adequately meet the safety and learning environment needs of faculty, staff, administration and students.
