As a Family Lawyer, Rachael assists with a wide range of family law issues for our clients including separation for married and de facto couples, divorce, parenting disputes, property settlements and financial agreements.  Rachael focuses on the use of alternative dispute resolution methods so as to avoid the stress and expense of litigating and to help our client’s resolve their family law dispute quickly, fairly and amicably

Background

In 2017 Rachael joined WMD as a Law Clerk after she was awarded the WMD Work Integrated Learning Scholarship.  Rachael used the next three years to work within in our Commercial, Criminal, Family, Estates and Property divisions.  That experience gave Rachael the opportunity to find her passion in Family Law and she is now a full time lawyer in our Family Law team.

Qualifications

Rachael graduated the University of Wollongong in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology (with distinction). Rachael gained a Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law and was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 2019.

Life outside of WMD Law

Rachael grew up on the South Coast and is an avid and passionate surfer.  Rachael loves traveling and also enjoys snowboarding and AFL.
